Glossary of Assessment Terms
To ensure that I comprehend the meaning behind the assessment terms used in elementary education I will reference the Glossary in the assigned text, Classroom Assessment: What Teachers Need to Know, by James W. Popham. This text was recommended by the teacher of my NEAG Assessment Course, EPSY 4010. The glossary lists all definable assessment and related terms in alphabetical order used throughout the book, which not only will help me understand the text while reading it but serves as an excellent quick reference that I can use while teaching.
In addition, I own the Kindle version of the text which allows me to use it's "X-Ray" feature that scans the text for important terms and provides the glossary definition, wikipedia definition, and relevantly lists all pages the word appears in context. To take comprehension a step further, the Kindle app allows me to create an electronic flash card deck to study the terms.
The glossary can be found from pages 513 to 517, and the Kindle app is free for download online from amazon.com. The text is also available to rent or for purchase through the amazon as well. This is a resource that I cannot share in its entirety due to copyright laws, however I am able to share screen shot samples of what it has to offer. Please refer to the gallery below, by clicking on one of the images you will be able to view an enlarged version of the image.
